Volunteer Opportunities
Many generous donations of both time and treasure over the years have made Rapp Nature Camp possible. A volunteer Board of Directors advises the Camp Director. Volunteers, including Virginia Master Naturalists from the Old Rag chapter, serve as visiting instructors at the summer day camps and Perennial Camper events. We hold volunteer work parties to help prepare camp for the kids, including our participation in the annual Let’s Volunteer Days sponsored by the PATH Foundation. Volunteers donate food and supplies to Camp. Rapp Nature Camp is a true community effort!
Please join us for a Camp Volunteer Day on Monday, May 4, 3-6 p.m., at our new camp location Revival Springs, 7 Piney Run Lane, Sperryville. Activities will include helping with barn setup and moving branches and brush from trails. We will also tour the property. Feel free to pick an hour to come if you can’t stay for the whole time. (We have a crew working there all afternoon, so let us know if you’d like to drop in earlier.) Families are encouraged; parents should plan to stay and work alongside kids 12 and under. Register for the Volunteer Day here.
